Privacy Policy
Effective May 1, 2026. We review this policy at least once a year.
This policy describes how Hatton Technologies Limited ("HollexApp", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website, mobile experiences, and salary advance services (together, the "Services"). We process your data in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and other applicable laws.
1. Who we are
HollexApp is operated by Hatton Technologies Limited, a company registered in Ghana. We are the data controller for the personal data you share with us through the Services.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Identity data. Full name, date of birth, Ghana Card number, photograph, and a copy of your Ghana Card.
- Contact data. Email address, phone number, and postal or residential address.
- Employment data. Employer name, job title, length of service, monthly net salary, payroll day, and copies of your employment letter or recent payslips.
- Financial data. Mobile money account, bank account, payout history, advance balance, and repayment status.
- Device and usage data. IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications. Messages you send our support team and records of our responses.
3. How we use your information
We use personal data to:
- verify your identity and confirm your employment with your HR contact;
- assess eligibility for an advance and calculate available limits;
- disburse funds and collect repayment on payday;
- send transactional notifications about your account and advances;
- prevent fraud, money laundering, and abuse of the Services;
- improve and secure the platform;
- comply with legal, regulatory, and tax obligations.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your data based on your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate business interests in operating the Services safely, and our legal obligations under Ghanaian law.
5. How we share information
We share personal data only with:
- Your employer's HR contact, to confirm your employment, salary, and payroll deduction.
- Payment partners (mobile money operators and banks) to disburse advances and process repayments.
- Service providers who host our infrastructure, send our emails, and provide analytics, all under written data protection terms.
- Regulators and law enforcement, when required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers store data outside Ghana. Where this happens, we put contractual safeguards in place to keep your data protected to the standard required by Act 843.
7. How long we keep data
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for up to seven years after closure, so we can meet record keeping, tax, and dispute resolution obligations. KYC documents are stored for the period required by anti money laundering law.
8. Your rights
Under Act 843 you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion where the law permits;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing;
- lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.

9. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, strict role based access controls, and continuous monitoring. See our Security overview for details.
10. Children
The Services are intended for adults aged 18 or over who are in formal employment. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in app and post the new effective date at the top of this page.
